Catholic Online yang berpangkalan di California, Amerika Syarikat memberitahu dunia bahawa di Malaysia "religious minorities have often complained about what they say is institutionalized religious discrimination ..."
Selanjutnya Catholic Online menyiarkan laporan berikut sebagai berita utama muka depannya pada 11 Januari 2010: "CHRISTIAN CHURCHES FIRE BOMBED IN MALAYSIA FOR USING WORD 'ALLAH' FOR GOD" .
Berita utama muka depan tersebut disusuli pula dengan berita utama berikut: "MALAYSIA: EVEN MORE CHURCHES FIREBOMBED OVER USE OF WORD 'ALLAH' "
Catholic Online turut menyiarkan komentar pembacanya terhadap berita berkenaan:
"MARY: As an Arab Christian, I can say the word for God in Arabic is Allah, and we have been using the word Allah in our churches and liturgy long before Malaysia became Muslim."
"IRA: The word Allah is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to God. Keep in mind that Christianity arose in the Middle East approx. 600 years before Islam and the Christians Arabs at that time, used this word to denote the 'One – Creator of All'. Therefore, this word usage is not copyrighted to any one religion."
Dari London, BBC News memberitahu dunia bahawa "Malaysia church attacks continue in use of 'Allah' row". Selanjutnya dilaporkan bahawa "the row over the use of the word Allah has exposed deep resentments over the treatment of minorities and freedom of religion in Malaysia."
