"Kelantan MB says son-in-law removed as Kelantan MB Inc's CEO

KOTA BARU: Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat announced Monday that his son-in-law Abdul Ariffahmi Abdul Rahman has been removed as the CEO of Kelantan Mentri Besar Inc.

A former corporate liaison officer of the Kelantan Mentri Besar Inc, Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, popularly known as the blogger Kickdefella, sparked a controversy after Abdul Ariffahmi terminated his contract with the state-government owned agency as corporate liaison officer on Nov 10.

He has threatened to “tell all” about the alleged abuse of power and financial mismanagement by its CEO Abdul Ariffahmi.

He also claimed in his blog that Nik Aziz had asked his son-in law to step down.

Abdul Ariffahmi, who is under probe by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, has vehemently denied allegations of financial irregularities involving him and the entity he leads.

Nik Abdul Aziz too has come under public scrutiny after he accepted, and later cancelled, the sponsorship of RM65,000 to perform the haj.

The trip, which was to have included Abdul Ariffahmi, was said to have been paid by an individual who is alleged to be one of the contractors who benefited from Kelantan Mentri Besar Inc’s projects."
